We are pleased to advise that Wellington’s culinary legend Steve Logan of Logan Brown and Grill Meats Beer, has agreed to be our guest speaker for our first event in 2019.
Steve will provide insights into the Wellington hospitality scene
Steve Logan has spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry. After graduating with a Diploma in Hotel and Catering Administration in 1981, he gained international experience in restaurants in England, USA and Sweden in roles including Sous Chef and Restaurant Manager.
On his return to New Zealand, Steve worked for Independent Taverns as a General Manager. In 1988 he then established and managed two successful Wellington restaurants, Brer Fox Café initially, and later, Café Laffite.
In 1996 Steve and his friend Al Brown opened Logan Brown Restaurant & Bar. His restaurant management skills were recognised by his peers in the hospitality industry in 2003 when he won the Felix Award for Best Restaurateur.
Then, almost two decades after establishing Logan Brown, Steve set up Grill Meats Beer offering great burgers, ribs, and craft beers.
Steve Logan is the real thing, he’s probably forgotten more about the Wellington hospitality scene than most ever knew. This is an opportunity to meet the legend, hear his story and check out whether the Wellington scene has anything in common with the late Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential.
The set menu lunch is $25.00 inc. GST per person.
We hope that you can join us on Tuesday 12 February 2019.
