Wellington City Councillor Diane Calvert is our guest speaker at our next networking event on Tuesday, 21 November 2023.
There’s a growing disquiet about our City Council and its spending priorities.
Has the Council taken on too many new projects without understanding the financial consequences? Even if we’re not yet in a financial crisis, rates will likely increase by double digits next year.
Mayor Tory Whanau, despite multiple requests, has yet to get back to us so we asked independent City Councillor Diane Calvert if she’d let us know what is going on and whether Council had the capacity and finances to be able to go ahead with all its ambitious projects, as well as fixing the city's water pipes infrastructure.
Diane Calvert
Diane was first elected as a Wharangi/Onslow-Western councillor in 2016 following a successful career working in government and private enterprises in operational management and strategic leadership roles. Diane, over the past several years, has focused on supporting local business communities with their specific issues and perspectives to be heard at Council.
We are confident that Diane's presentation, followed by a question and-answer session, will be both enlightening and entertaining.
The set menu lunch is $25.00 inc. GST per person. Please note that by committing to attend, you are committed to pay for lunch.
