Chris & Nicola will give a presentation and answer questions on the issues they believe will define this year’s General Election, to be held on Saturday 19 September.

Before winning Hutt South at the 2017 election, he was a National List MP and entered Parliament in 2014. He is the Deputy Chair of Parliament’s Transport and Infrastructure Committee. Born and raised in Lower Hutt, he has a first-class Honours degree in Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington, and has been admitted to the Bar as a barrister and solicitor.

He lives in Petone with his wife Jenna, and their friendly Samoyed Ladyhawke.

Nicola Willis is a List MP based in Wellington and is National’s spokesperson for Early Childhood Education and Youth, having entered Parliament in April 2018. Born and raised in Wellington, she has a first-class Honours degree in English Literature from Victoria University of Wellington and a post-graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Canterbury. Together with her husband Duncan, she is raising her family in the capital, with four children aged from four to ten years. Prior to becoming an MP Nicola had a successful career spanning the private and public sectors including working as a researcher and policy adviser for the Rt Hon Bill English and as a senior advisor to the Rt Hon Sir John Key during his first term as Prime Minister. Nicola has served on the Boards of Export NZ and the New Zealand Initiative and is a member of Parliament’s Education and Workforce and Regulations Review Select Committees.
